No politics on Modi's US visit: Digvijaya Singh

BHOPAL: AICC general secretary and former chief minister Digvijaya Singh rubbished the state government's statics on the phenomenal agricultural growth rate of Madhya Pradesh. "The agricultural growth rate as claimed by the state is beyond my understanding. No growth statistics have ever been this way. The numbers are fudged," Singh said talking to reporters here on Saturday.

The Shivraj Singh Chouhan BJP government which received the Krishi Karman Award for highest food production twice in two consecutive years claimed that its agricultural growth rate for 2013-14 is 24.99 per cent.


Speaking on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the US, the Congress leader said he hoped that all pertinent issues of the country would be Senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh today expressed hope that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will put forth all major issues concerning the country before the United Nations. He also said that PM Modi's US visit should not be politicised.


"It not the right time to politicise Modi's trip to the US when he has gone there to address the United Nations Genaral Assembly as India's Prime Minister," Singh said.
