MUMBAI: A criminal complaint has been filed by activist Nicholas Almeida, trustee of Watchdog Foundation against film actor Shah Rukh Khan and municipal commissioner Sitaram Kunte amongst others at a local court in Bandra.
The said complaint has been filed under Sections 268 and 290 of the Indian Penal Code as they allege illegal construction of a ramp adjoining the actor's bungalow without approval of the competent authorities. The case is expected to come up for hearing on October 12.
"The said illegal ramp constructed by the actor is an important access road especially during the Bandra Fair, which is held every year in the month of September. Despite repeated complaints the authorities have failed and neglected to remove the said illegal ramp constructed by the actor. I believe this is gross negligence on the part of the authorities," said Almeida.
