Four held for attacking a man after drunk brawl

MUMBAI: A 26-year-old man was badly attacked with paver blocks by four others while they were partying at a deserted place near Janata Market in Bhandup (West) late Sunday night. The four men attacked the victim Anil Bhor over a petty fight that broke between them while drinking. The Bhandup police said that Bhor's condition is critical after suffering brain haemorrhage.

The incident occurred at midnight when the four accused who was annoyed with Bhor over a past fight they had six months ago. "The accused was trying to get a point to take revenge against Bhor who had assaulted them in the past. All the five, including, were high after drinking when they indulged in a fight with Bhor who challenged them that they cannot attack him," said Bhandup police senior inspector Shrirang Nadgauda.


Nadgauda said the four accused was caught from the locality a day after the incident. "Bhor is currently kept in ventilator with 50 per cent of his brain is not responding," he said. A case of attempt to murder has been registered against the four arrested.
