MUMBAI: An accounts teacher molested a 17-year-old girl who requested him to help her to understand a chapter at Four Bungalow in Andheri (West) on Tuesday. The D N Nagar police arrested the teacher, Chetan Kasture, 37, under the Protection of Children From Sexual Abuses Act. He was produced before a court and remanded into police custody till October 4. He lived in South Mumbai and has ben teaching in the Andheri based class for the last two years.
The girl was a regular at the tution class at Four Bungalow area. She was unable to understand an account problem and requested Kasture to help her. Kasture called the girl in the classroom on Tuesday afternoon after all the students had left. While helping her to understand the accounts problem he started to touch her inappropriately. The girl objected his act and she left from there. She told her parents about the incident and they filed a case at the D N Nagar police station.
