MUMBAI: A man committed suicide after reaching midway Bandra-Worli Sea Link ( BWSL) in the wee hours today. The man identified as Ravi Pillai(32) jumped into sea from Worli end, said the police.
Worli police senior inspector SA Jain confirmed TOI the man jumping off the sea link at 4am. "The taxi driver said Pillai hired the cab from Worli end. On reaching middle of the sealink the passenger asked thr driver to stop and ran out," said Jain.
Before the driver could sense what is happening, Pillai jumped off the sealink. "The driver said the man was found depressed and was continuously talking on his mobile before he taking the extreme step," said the police. Fire brigade and the police are searching for the deceased body.
