Bombay HC seeks case diary in Dabholkar killing probe

MUMBAI: The Bombay high court on Tuesday sought the copies of the case diary of probe by Pune police into the killing of rationalist Narendra Dabholkar.

A division bench of Justice P V Hardas and Justice A S Gadkari heard a public interest litigation by activist Ketan Tirodkar for transfer of probe to the Central Bureau of Investigation.


The prosecutor produced the case diary in court. But the judges asked copies of it to be submitted to them "2-3 days before" the next hearing so that the "we'll read and come prepared."


Dabholkar's daughter Mukta also sought time to finalize her application to intervene through her advocate Atul Almeida. The matter is posted after two weeks.
