Ace Music director -singer Shankar Mahadevan will be composing music for Subodh Bhave's directorial debut 'Katiyar Kaljat Ghusli' and the buzz is also that the latter has offered the music director to essay the lead role in the film.
The film will be the adaptation of the musical play 'Katiyar Kaljat Ghusli' originally written by Purushottam Darvhekar. Musician Jitendra Abhisheki had done the music for the play. A lot of big names in Marathi film industry are expected to play prominent roles in the film. Sources inform that Subodh wants Shankar Mahadevan to play a role in the film. A source says, "Shankar Mahadevan has also shown interest in essaying a role in the film but a lot will depend on his dates."
