National awards for outstanding crafts

BANGALORE: The office of the development commissioner (handicrafts), ministry of textiles, government of India has invited applications from outstanding master crafts persons with excellent skill and track record in the field of handicrafts for national awards for the year 2012. The national award consists of Rs 1 lakh each in cash, a tamara patra, an angavastram and a certificate. The national merit certificate consists of a cash award of Rs 50,000 and a certificate. The application forms may be obtained from following centres.
