Delhi election results 2013: Losing Congress candidates blame party

NEW DELHI: Even before the final results could be announced, Congress's losing candidates have started blaming the party for their defeat.

Congress candidate and sitting MLA Anil Chaudhary categorically blamed the party's performance for his defeat in Patparganj constituency. "Its the party's loss. The damage done by AAP by claiming that Congress was corrupt undermined all the development work done by the party. I would have said it was an individual loss if it was only one seat. Here, the party is losing almost everywhere," he said.

Chaudhary had come to the counting centre at Commonwealth Games Village where he conceded that there was an AAP wave in the city. He, however, tried to play it down by saying that promises made by AAP would be difficult to implement and that the people have committed a grave mistake by choosing a rookie party.

Even as the result of the final round for Patparganj constituency is yet to be announced, Chaudhary accepted his defeat and said that Sisodia is a clearcut winner.
