Who will come together to elect the next mayor and deputy mayor for Ulhasnagar?

ULHASNAGAR: After the Shiv Sena and BJP alliance broke in the state, in Ulhasnagar city too they have broken their alliance in UMC and are fighting the mayor and deputy mayor elections separately, which is to be held on Saturday.

It will be surprising to see who will come together to elect the city's next mayor and deputy mayor.

In Ulhasnagar, BJP and Shiv Sena with the help of SAI (Secular Alliance of India) party are in the majority in Ulhasnagar Municipal Corporation. More surprisingly, SAI party, which has kept the mayor post for the last two-and-a-half years, this time too has fielded its candidate for the mayor post taking advantage of the Sena's and BJP's separation.

However, if political sources are to be believed then Sena and BJP with SAI party may again form the alliance to avoid problems in other corporations as then BJP may take back its support from other corporations like BMC, TMC and KDMC.

There are also rumours in the city that this time NCP, which is the single largest party in Ulhasnagar with 21 seats, may go with SAI party leaving both Shiv Sena and BJP surprised.

Election results are expected to come in the afternoon on Saturday.
