'Brand Namo' a big hit with MBA students in Coimbatore

COIMBATORE: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has, no doubt, mesmerised the whole world with his oratorical skills. And now, impressed by his managerial capabilities, a management institute in the city, has decided to include his strategies and concepts in its case studies.

To instill Modi-like poise among MBA students, the Sankara Institute of Management Science now plans to include concepts about Modi and his skills in its curriculum in form of case studies.


Overwhelmed by his captivating expertise in various sphere, even the institute downloaded his Independence Day speech from the Press Information Bureau website and it was discussed in detail.


On another occasion, the students were asked to make presentations on the Mass Orbiter Mission. His visits to Nepal, Japan and the United States were also discussed in detail. "Modi's projects on women empowerment, environment cleanliness, toilet construction, Jan Dhan Yojanan were among the topics discussed during the classes," said L Gandhi, head, department of management studies.


With 'Brand Modi' and his vision dominating the national scene, the management decided to make it a full-time activity and included his concepts in the syllabus. "To flag-off the programme, the students will organise a cleanliness drive in a village near Saravanampatti. The students will also conduct a door-to-door awareness drive on environmental issues," said Nithya Ramachandran, joint secretary, Sankara Institutions. The institute has also planned to organise health camps to promote health awareness in villages near the campus.
