HC nod to red sanders auction

HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad High Court on Wednesday allowed the AP state to go ahead with its proposed global auction of red sanders seized from smugglers. However it restrained the state from finalizing the bidding process. A vacation bench comprising Justice G Chandraiah and Justice M S K Jaiswal made this interim order after hearing a petition filed by the AP state which felt aggrieved by the stay imposed on the auction by the National Green Tribunal, Chennai. The bench, while issuing notices to the authorities, posted the case to October 7 for further hearing.

Justice G Chandraiah of the Hyderabad High Court on Wednesday stayed the removal of K Sridevi from her chair person post of the district cooperative central bank, Kurnool district. She said that she was unlawfully removed from the post through a vote of no confidence without following the due procedure.
