Exhibition showcases photos shot by slum children

MUMBAI: On the eve of Daan Utsav, a festival of giving, the Press Club on Wednesday put up a unique photo exhibition called 'Kaun Banega Photographer', a selection of the best images shot by slum children aged between 10 and 16 years.

The children were trained over two weekends by press photographers.

Police commissioner Rakesh Maria was the chief guest at the event and inaugurated the exhibition.

"I felt elated holding such a fancy camera," Milind Shinde, one of the participating children from the Salam Bharat trust, said.

Impressed with the show, Maria said the city police would look at adopting five children to meet their educational and career needs.
