Cyclone HudHud expected to hit Visakhaptnam on October 12

HYDERABAD: Cyclone HudHud with an expected wind speed of 140 km/hr is expected to hit Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh at noon on October 12. The expected place of landfall has been given as between Visakhapatnam and Gopalpur.

The storm surge bulletin has been issued by the Indian Storm Surge Warning System (SWS) of Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS) at Hyderabad.


Inundation as a result of the cyclone will take place at the coastal locations of Anakapalli (nearest place of habitation between Tantadi and Cheepurupalle East), Bhimunipatnam (Rishikonda beach), both places in Visakhapatnam, Cheepurapalle (Chintapalle) in Srikakulam, Puspatirega (Pedanagayyapalem) in Vizianagaram, Srikakulum (Atchanna Agraharam) in Srikakulam, Visakhapatnam (between Tikkavanipalem and Appikonda part rural) in Visakhapatnam, Yellamanchili (Rajavaram) in Vikakhapatnam).
