In a first-of-its-kind initiative, the brand conducted an online contest on social media for PeeCee's fanbase that allowed them to win a pair of boxing gloves personally signed by Priyanka, by answering questions about the film. The other part of the contest allowed them to bid for a pair autographed by her. The money raised was given to a charitable foundation.
At the event, Priyanka interacted with 50 lucky fans in a freewheeling discussion that also featured her co-star Darshan Kumar. She also handed over a cheque of `1 lakh raised from the auction to a representative from the charity.
Speaking at the event, she said, "This was a unique initiative by Reliance Digital, where I not only got to interact with my fans but also to give something back for the education of the girl child. I am thrilled that we were able to raise funds for the charity. It was also great to interact with so many well-wishers and share my experiences from the making of Mary Kom."
