Desi Kattey actor happy to start on the right note

Being veteran actor Vinod Khanna's nephew comes with its set of expectations. And Akhil Kapur, who has debuted with the recently-released Desi Kattey, thinks he has started off on the right note in Bollywood. "I'm happy with how my performance has been received. I'm being told I have good screen presence. People from the industry have been calling up to congratulate my family and me," he says.

Khanna, who is impressed with the youngster, states, "I'm proud of him. His hard work has paid off." Akhil's cousin, Akshaye Khanna, seconds him. "He oozes confidence and has proved that he can hold the audience's attention," he says.

Suniel Shetty, who has shared screen space with Akhil in the film, says, "He is focused and is great in the action sequences."

Akhil now aspires to establish himself as an action hero. He says, "The action space is meant for me. I trained professionally in martial arts and hand-to-hand combat. In this film, I had gun-fighting sequences. Now, you'll see me doing some new age action in my next venture soon."
