It will leave from Pune station at 1.40am, will reach Shivajinagar at 1.46am and will further halt at every station before reaching Lonavla at scheduled time of 3.05 am.
Officials in railway administration said that though it is running as a special train, passengers are expected to purchase valid tickets before start of journey. The train will primarily cater to those people who travel to Pune city to participate in Ganesh festival and want to return in night hours, officials said. The administration has planned to give additional security in the train.
Meanwhile, the railway administration has decided to run a special train from Mumbai (Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Kurla) up to Tiruchirappalli to clear the extra rush of passengers. This train will run via Pune.
It will leave from LTT at 1.20pm on September 10 (Wednesday) and will reach Tiruchirappalli at 7.15pm next day.
It will have one AC 2-tier coach, two coaches of AC 3-tier, 13 sleeper class coaches, and two coaches each of general second class and general second class cum guards' brake van.
