Six premium trains between LTT-Karmali to clear Ganapati Festival rush

MUMBAI: Central Railway has decided to run six premium services between LTT and Karmali to clear extra rush of passengers during the Ganesh festival.

The six special trains will run between August 28 and September 11.


CR said, "The booking of the train will be done only through internet. The opening of the booking date will be announced in a few days."


The fares for premium trains are either on a par with or higher than the tatkal fare due to dynamic pricing. Moreover, under the dynamic pricing, ticket prices increase for the next day's travel as soon as previous bookings are exhausted. But the ticket prices cannot increase by more than 100%.


CR said, "Train No. 02045 Premium Weekly AC Special will leave LTT at 1.10 am on August 28, September 4 and 11(3 trips). The train will arrive Karmali at 11.30 am on the same day.


From Karmali, the train (02045) will depart 11.55 am on the same dates and arrive LTT at 10.15 pm on the same day.


It will have halts halts at Thane, Panvel, Chiplun, Ratnagiri, and Kudal stations.


CR said, "The train will have one AC First class, three AC-2 Tier, eight AC-3 Tier, one AC Pantry car and two Generator cum Guards' brake van.'
