Singham Returns to be Devgn's fastest 100-crore film?

It's time for Ajay Devgn to celebrate as his new film 'Singham Returns' that released on the Independence Day holiday is scaling up the box office charts quickly.

'Singham Returns' directed by Rohit Shetty is a sequel to his 2011 blockbuster 'Singham'. As per reports in Koimoi, 'Singham Returns' may turn out to be Ajay Devgn's fastest film to enter the Rs 100 crore club.


'Singham Returns' started strong by making Rs 32 crores on Friday. According to the report, it went on to make close to Rs 21 crores on Saturday and approximately Rs 27 crores on Sunday. Keeping in mind these figures, the first weekend collections of the film turn out to be close to Rs 79 crores. Not long ago, Salman Khan's 'Kick' broke a few records and went on to make Rs 100 crores in just 5 days and film analysts are expecting 'Singham Returns' to touch the magic number soon.

Rohit Shetty who has blockbusters like 'Chennai Express' to his credit that have made almost Rs 226 crores worldwide, is not new to the Rs 100 crore club. A long weekend and positive word of mouth may push ahead the box office collections of 'Singham Returns'.


The film also stars Kareena Kapoor, Anupam Kher and Amol Gupte.
