Power outage in Malad

MUMBAI: Residents in parts of Malad and Madh faced a power outage on Monday.

Reliance Infra immediately put up a message on social networking sites stating, "We regret some of our valued customers in certain areas of Malad (W) and Madh island are facing inconvenience due to an ongoing power outage. We would like to reassure the affected customers that our technical teams are on the job and are striving hard to restore supply to the affected areas at the earliest. ."

Sources at RInfra said the power supply was restored by 2pm. The power cut lasted for two to three hours. In the evening, a Reliance Energy spokesperson said: "Some areas of Madh and Erangal witnessed power outages because of technical issues."
