NEW DELHI: Tremors were felt here on Thursday afternoon after a moderate earthquake hit Himachal Pradesh, an official said.
The earthquake measured 5.0 on the Richter scale.
"The quake occurred at 1.41pm. The epicentre was Chamba-Kangra district in Himachal Pradesh," an official of the meteorological department said. People rushed out of their homes in Palampur and Dharamsala.
