Campa Cola compound case: BMC to cut water and electricity supply

MUMBAI: The BMC will now enter the campa cola compound on June 17 to disconnect electricity and water supply.

It was the last day for the residents of return their keys to the BMC, but none of the citizens turned up with their flat keys.


The BMC starting Saturday till Monday will start issuing notices to the residents under section 488 of the BMC act and will say that the BMC staff will enter their premise on 17th June to initiate action.


The SC court in its judgment had said that the residents should vacate their homes by May 31, the SC has quashed the residents plea for an date extension and had asked them to vacate.


Additional municipal commissioner Mohan Adtani said that the BMC will file contempt of court petitions against the residents that resist the BMC officials on June 17.


"We will cut the essential supplies like water, light and gas on Tuesday and the work to break the internal walls will start post that. Even during monsoon the work of demolition of the internal walls will continue,"said Adtani.
