Collegian held for molesting minor

MUMBAI: The V P Road police on Tuesday night arrested a collegian (19) for allegedly molesting his five-year-old neighbour. The victim had narrated the trauma to her mother who approached the police. Senior inspector Sursh Kilji said the accused, Nihar Tamble, who was preparing for class XII exams, was arrested on charges of molestation. Police have also invoked sections 8 and 12 of the Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences Act. He was produced in a court that remanded him in police custody till March 10. Tamble had called the victim to his house and allegedly molested her on two separate occasions, the police said.
