BJP flays Rahul for 'contradictory visions'

JAIPUR: The BJP has lashed out at AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi, who addressed a public meeting at Deoli on Monday, and called his address 'disappointing and a negative message.'

Rahul Gandhi seems to have no connect to the ground realities of the state. He has no idea about the aspirations of the people of the state and has failed to deliver the Congress party's vision for development.

Gandhi was here to address the first rally for the general elections yet failed to give an account of what had the Congress done for the people here during the last five years,'' said state party president Ashok Parnami. Parnami added that while Gandhi claimed that he wanted a government for the poor, the fact remained that the standard of living had dropped during the Congress tenure.

The party's state president further said that Gandhi's statements were contradictory. Last time he said only infrastructure development is not important and yet this time he has - on the lines of BJP's vision- talked about growth in infrastructure and development. It is because of Congress contradictory visions that it lost power in the state and will face defect in the general elections too,'' he added
