HYDERABAD: Despite the controversy over the alleged misuse of the honorary title, the credits roll of actor Mohan Babu's latest film 'Pandavulu Pandavulu Thummeda' displayed Padma Shri against Babu's name with a minor change- 'Padma Shri awarded by the President'.
On Thursday, the producer of the movie Manchu Vishnu had made it clear that they would use the title in the credits roll.
A BJP leader Indrasena Reddy had moved high court alleging that both Mohan Babu and comedian Brahmanandam were misusing the honorary titles by prefixing it to their names.
The title appeared in another Mohan Babu film, 'Denikaina Ready' in which his son Manchu Vishnu played the lead role.
Following directives issued by the court, the 'Padma Shri' prefix against the name of Mohan Babu, who was the producer of the movie which had released in 2012 was removed only recently.
