MUMBAI: The Employees' Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has settled 88% of the claims within 30 days in the year 2012-13.
In the period April to July this year, the percentage stood at 96.11, a press release said. The amount raised from defaulting establishment was Rs 39.48 crore, which is Rs 9 crore more than the average for the period April-June 2013. The EPFO also disposed of 20,668 grievances in July this year.
The facility of checking remittances status of an establishment and total number of members enrolled, including status of claim filed, are available on the EPFO website. The number of members contributing to the EPFO crossed four crore in August.
